微软发布 Windows 7 和 Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 RC

        美国当地时间10月26日，微软发布了 Windows 7 和 Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 RC（简称：Win7/WS08R2 SP1 RC），即 SP1 预览版。从7月2日首个面向公众发布的 SP1 Beta 到现在的 SP1 RC，3个多月的时间相对来讲进展还是非常之快的。

        从目前已有的信息来看，Win7/WS08R2 SP1 RC 对于系统的功能上的增新还是非常有限的，gOxiA 近期也在筹备 Win7/WS08R2 SP1 RC 相关的文章会尽快与大家分享，时间仓促就只能公告一下这个消息，有兴趣的朋友可以自己先安装体验一下。需要注意的是，如果之前已经安装过 SP1 的 Beta，那么需要先将其卸载再安装 SP1 RC！此外细心的用户会发现 Beta 和 RC 都使用的是一个 KB 号码，唯一不同的就是 ISO 版的名称结尾处的小版本变为了 RC1SP1.1。此外还包含了中文版本，也就是说中文版也可以试用 Win7/WS08R2 SP1 RC！！！

 利用 Windows Server 2008 R2 的 WDS 驱动程序功能快速为引导映像添加额外的网卡驱动支持

        WDS 部署 Windows 客户端非常方便，目前被广泛使用。在早期，当我们利用 WDS 部署 Windows 时经常会遇到启动映像无法识别客户端计算机网卡而导致部署系统失败的故障，而解决办法就是要使用 WAIK 提供的命令解开 Windows PE 进行驱动的添加。问题虽然得到了解决，但是频繁的操作就会降低效率，显得繁琐。

        在 Windows Server 2008 R2 中，WDS 得到了改进和增强，其中驱动程序功能有效地解决了利用 WDS 部署系统时遇到的有关驱动所导致的故障问题。以向引导映像添加网卡驱动支持为例，首先我们打开 WDS 控制器，在左边导航窗体中切换到“驱动程序”，之后右键单击，并在列表中点击“添加驱动程序包”。为了管理方便，我们可以创建对应的驱动程序组，来分类存放驱动。

        完成驱动程序的添加后，再在左边的导航窗体中切换到“启动映像”，选中要添加驱动的启动映像，右键单击，在列表中点击“将驱动程序包添加到映像”，之后会启动驱动程序添加向导，跟随向导完成即可。

        整个操作过程非常简单，这里就不再详细介绍。对于遭遇启用映像无法识别网卡而导致系统部署失败的朋友们，相信可以轻松许多了。

Linux Integration Services v2.1

        今天微软发布了 Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V R2 面向 Linux 的集成组件 v2.1 版本。在 Linux 虚拟机上安装该组件后将大幅提高其 Guest OS 的整体性能。

        Linux Integration Services v2.1 以 VMbus 总线基准进行开发，为 Hyper-V 下的 Linux 虚拟机提供了 synthetic network controller 和 synthetic storage controller 的支持。

        下面是 Integration Services v2.1 的主要功能和改进：

• Fastpath Boot Support: Boot devices now take advantage of the storage VSC to provide enhanced performance.
• Timesync: The clock inside the virtual machine will remain synchronized with the clock on the host.
• Integrated Shutdown: Virtual machines running Linux can be shut down from either Hyper-V Manager or System Center Virtual Machine Manager, using the “Shut Down” command.
• Symmetric Multi-Processing (SMP) Support: Supported Linux distributions can use up to 4 virtual processors (VP) per virtual machine.
• Heartbeat: Allows the host to detect whether the guest is running and responsive.
• Pluggable Time Source: A pluggable clock source module is included to provide a more accurate time source to the guest.
